Meet Juan

 

Juan is a Texas native, raised in the Rio Grande Valley and Guadalajara, Mexico. He attended the University of Houston, majoring in Architecture with a minor in Spanish.

 

Juan’s extensive building experience and expertise were honed while working as a Regional Property Manager with Simon Property Group and Wells Fargo. In these roles, he was responsible for all capital planning, recurring services, and day-to-day repairs for over 2 million square feet of retail space within the Simon Property Group portfolio in the lower Rio Grande Valley, as well as fifty Wells Fargo banking centers in the Corpus Christi, Rio Grande Valley, and Laredo markets.

 

Before establishing his career in the building industry, Juan worked for key organizations that significantly contributed to his professional development. These included WHR Architects, a Houston-based architecture firm focusing on healthcare design; the City of McAllen Building and Permits Department; and as Director of Facilities & Construction for Mercedes ISD. These various positions have made Juan a well-rounded professional with the experience and expertise to represent owners and organizations at various project levels.

 

In 2018, recognizing a gap in the market that was not being met by other construction professionals in the region, Juan founded GAMA PM, LLC.

Juan resides in Edinburg, Texas, with his wife JoAnn and their two children, Gael and Jimena.
